Seed 14-Day Gut Reset Review

This 14-Day Gut Reset Made My Annoying IBS More Manageable

I’ve been open and honest (almost too honest) about my gut health here at AskMen for quite some time. In short, my IBS-riddled tummy hates me, I hate my tummy, and I’ll do practically anything to ward off debilitating cramps and subsequent bouts of bloating and diarrhea.

Needless to say, my digestive system was none-too-pleased as we headed into the new year. After literal months of binge-eating cookies and drinking far too many holiday-themed cocktails, I was in desperate need of a complete reset.

Coincidentally, this was the first time that I was also introduced to Seed’s 14-Day Gut Reset, which aims to provide gastrointestinal relief for anyone who may be suffering in the bathroom. So I decided to kick off 2025 the right way by incorporating these innovative capsules into my daily routine.

What Is Seed’s 14-Day Gut Reset?

According to Seed (or at least the marketing copy), the 14-Day Gut Reset is “clinically validated to restore healthy gut function within 14 days.”

“14-Day Gut Reset uses Seed's proprietary DS-01 formulation, including 24 clinically and scientifically studied probiotic strains and a patented, plant-based prebiotic outer capsule,” the company adds.

The product also delves into the following claims (literally printed on the front of its box):

  • Strengthens gut barrier during times of disruption. This may be due to “travel, stress, lack of quality sleep, certain prescriptions, physical inactivity, environmental stressors, and poor diet.”
  • Restores healthy gut function
  • Rapidly replenishes beneficial bacteria

After putting the pack to the ultimate test and proudly not missing a single dose, these were my biggest takeaways.

The Pros of Seed’s 14-Day Gut Reset

Convenience

Packaging is sturdy, high-quality, and straightforward. Capsules are presented in two foil-lined columns to remind customers to pop out and consume two per day. I appreciated this over a standard plastic pill bottle, which isn’t so motivating.

Quality

The company did right by including probiotics *and* prebiotics in its capsules. There is scientific evidence that shows the former may not offer any “clinically-relevant benefits to the majority of patients,” while prebiotics, on the other hand, help to feed and activate this bacteria (and the pre-existing bacteria in your gut). It’s always good to see them presented as a duo. That said, it’s also important to keep in mind that everyone’s microbiome is different, so one person’s solution may be another person’s failure.

It Worked

Aside from less bloating and less severe stomach pain, I found myself sleeping more soundly and awaking with higher energy levels. IBS can be draining and debilitating, especially in an environment like chilly Chicago (where I kicked off 2025) that demands cozy, lazy days. These pills gave me the extra boost that I needed to start my mornings and become a productive member of society.

The Cons of Seed’s 14-Day Gut Reset

Efficacy

Out of the two weeks of using the product, I experienced two days of gnarly indigestion. And while I don’t expect any supplement to be a perfect cure, these urgent trips to the porcelain pony did take me by surprise. Every new addition can have an adjustment period, though, so this certainly wasn’t a dealbreaker.

Potential Skin Issues

I can’t attribute an increase in breakouts to the product itself (which claims to actually help with skin issues), but I did experience one of the biggest body acne flare-ups in a while. Was it a purge of toxins? And increase in skin bacteria? I am not entirely sure, but it was something I definitely noted.

Constipation

While I personally didn’t experience a level of constipation that would send me to the emergency room, things were definitely a little…erm…more backed up than usual. But I’d certainly take this over reciting a Hail Mary while running to the first public bathroom I find. Some customers have mentioned extreme constipation in the product’s Amazon review section, so it may be wise to incorporate some extra fiber into your diet, which you should be doing anyway to contribute to better gut health.

Flaunt It or Flush It?

Despite the few aforementioned cons, I wholeheartedly recommend this product to temporarily combat stomach and/or intestinal issues. In fact, I now want to try it for a few months instead of two weeks to see its potential long-term benefits.

Seed has established itself as a trustworthy stakeholder in this ever-evolving market of health supplements and their 14-day gut reset is no exception to the company’s reputation. I implore anyone who suffers from IBS-related symptoms to consider trying it because, if you’re anything like me, nearly everything is worth a shot out of pure and utter desperation.
